Indian Company Royal Enfield Plans to Own Ducati

According to the latest reports, Indian Motorcycle Manufacturing company Royal Enfield prepared to buy the superbike maker Italian company Ducati and even approached them for acquisition.

Based on the reports of VolksWagen, they recruited a banking boutique Evercore for sale of its child company Ducati which Audi acquired by paying a massive 860 million euros in 2012.

Though the company is officially reaching out to possible buyers, their decision regarding the sale is yet to get confirmed.

Italian Company Ducati might value up to Rs.10,500 crores. When asked Eicher Motors, in which Enfield is a part, no comment was made, but Siddhartha Lal, CEO of Eicher stated that the company is open to new ideas. However, Royal Enfield is very interested in owning Ducati.

Ducati company manufactures the engines from 80 cc to 120 cc which is the primary reason behind their thought of acquisition as Royal Enfield hasn’t made any motorbike with that capacity.

Royal Enfield earns a quarterly income of about Rs. 1,888 crores and even showed a 23.2% increase in March. The company has a total of 25 stores in international markets too. If it owns Ducati too, then the sales might take a hike even more.
