India manufactured Maruti Suzuki Super Carry Light Carrying Vehicle (LCV) to be launched In South Africa in the month of June, 2016.

Maruti Suzuki Super Carry is the latest introduction of Maruti India automibiles.

The India  manufacture Maruti Suzuki Super Carry is considered to be the competitor of TATA Ace carrier. The LCV segment is already pre-occupied by the TATA, Bajaj and Mahindra in a large portion. It will be interesting to watch how the most successful car passenger performs in the load carrier segment of the Indian Automobile market.

The load carrier vehicle Super Carry is aimed at the South African automobile market. Produced in India, the vehicle will be exported abroad. The launch of the vehicle in South Africa in the month of June 2016 with an expected price tag of 1,29,900 RAND (approx. Rs.5.58 Lakhs).

This vehicle aims at small and medium entrepreneur needs for load transport. The load carrying capacity is specified as 750 Kgs.

The Specifications of the vehicle are as follows:

  • 1.2 ltr GB14 four-cylinder petrol engine with multi-point fuel injection with 72 hp at 6000 rpm and 101 Nm of maximum torque at 3000 rpm
  • Independent Front Suspension with MacPherson struts and coil springs
  • Rear consists of rigid axle and the leaf springs.
  • 5 Speed manual gearbox driving
  • Two wheel drive

The same vehicle Super Carry is expected to be launched in India by the end of this year. The specifications may vary a little bit. The Indian model comes with an engine power of 0.8 Litre 2 cylinder diesel engine. this is the same engine that is used in the Celerio car. a CNG/LPG model is also anticipated.
