Approx 1 Crore Candidates Applied For Indian Railways Posts

Approximately 1 Crore 20 Lakh Candidates has applied for 18252 Indian Railways Non-Technical Posts (CEN 03/2015 Advertisement. The last date for applications closed on 25th January 2016.

The Indian Railway Recruitment Board has recently released a job notification for recruitment of 18252 various posts. Various posts include Station Master, Clerk, Typist, apprentice, Accountant and other jobs. Interested candidates have applied online until the last date. Now, the online registration has been closed. According to the latest information, around 1.20 Crore candidates have registered.

As there are huge applications received, the competition is in the ratio of 1:657 (approx) ie., for every post around 657 candidates are challenging. As per the announcement from RRB, they said that most of the applications received for the post of Assistant Station Master, Goods Guard and Junior Accounts cum Assistant & Typist. More than 13 lakh Candidates had applied for RRB Allahabad Zone. So we advised all applicants to make a note of huge competition. To face the competition, aspirants have to know about the complete recruitment process. The selection of candidates will be based on written examination (conducted in Online Mode) and then Proficiency Test. Those who qualify in the test will be absorbed in the respective posts.

The written exam will be conducted during March to May 2016. For appearing in the written test, an e-call letter will be available about 10-15 days prior to the date of the exam on the website of RRB.
