In a move to provide better services and connectivity for mobile service operators, the Union cabinet has nodded for the auction of Airwaves.
The Indian union cabinet has approved the sale of Airwaves to different mobile operators in India. The sale will be through the auction.Already, the mobile operators have invested heavily in improving the existing services as well as in expanding them. The 4G network is becoming popular among the users day by day. Hence, the mobile operators are compelled to improvise the services. The airwave that is being auctioned now will help the Indian operators to provide better and faster services. Especially the data transfers and the video calling facility is focused on the 4G networks. The data is said to be super fast when compared to the previous 3G speed.
The speedy networks are needed to hang out with more Airwaves. The mobiles also have to contain the supporting motherboards for supporting this. Telecom ministry of India earlier decided to sell the airwaves in the 700 Mhz, 800 Mhz, 900 Mhz, 1800 Mhz, 2100 Mhz, 2300 Mhz, and 2500 Mhz bands.
