Bhubaneshwar: Infosys Foundation has proclaimed that they finished construction of 161 toilets in 46 schools of Odisha under the sanitation drive to support the ‘Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya Abiyan’ which is started by the Prime Minster.
Today, Infosys Foundation has proclaimed that they finished construction of 161 toilets in 46 schools of Odisha under the sanitation drive to support the ‘Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya Abiyan’ which is started by the Prime Minster.
The Foundation which is in union with Akanksha, Infosys Bhubaneswar CSR arm has built 161 toilets and given to the school authorities at an opening celebration among others by Pranab Prakash Das who is the Energy Minister of Odisha.
As per the latest news, these toilets have been built by under the first sanitation scheme in 46 government schools in Khurda district. The foundation has an agreement with the state government undertaking Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority for the building of toilets in 109 schools in the state.
In May 2015, the part of the MOU has been drawn and the target also taken on April 2016 to finish this project by Infosys. The foundation said that it supports the poor sections of the society and focussed on education, rural development, arts and culture, healthcare and destitute care etc.
According to news, previously the foundation has linked with Odisha for working in different areas like tragedy relief, education, healthcare and cyclone etc.
