Indian Railways is to start cash on delivery on train tickets booking online. Now you can book tickets online and can get them at your doorstep. IRCTC have decided to do this in order to reduce passenger complexity with travel in train.
Great News for all the Indian Railways Customers who are not willing to share their Cards and who don’t have internet banking facility, targeting those customers Indian Railways came up with a new ideology that tickets will be delivered to their doorstep.
The only thing that customer has to do is to book a ticket from online and rest of the thing will be done by Indian Railways where the money can be paid at home.
The customer has to book tickets prior to 5 days from the date of journey commenced. Initially this service is started across 200 cities, later this service will be expanded based on the response from the public. To provide this Cash on Delivery a small amount of Rs. 40 for Sleeper Class and Rs. 60 for AC Class will be charged during the payment.
With this cash on Delivery, One can avoid travelling to the Railway booking office, standing in the queue, fill up the form and then buy ticket. Why don’t we be happy? If the entire process can be done from home itself and get tickets to the doorstep.
This is a great move from the Indian Railways at least for the senior citizens and ladies besides general public. Everyone can be assessed only after remedial measures should be taken.
