Union Minister Smriti Irani and current AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu laid foundation for 3 novel educational institutions which includes IISER, IIT, IIIT. Tirupati, Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh will be the founding land.

Three educational institutions in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh are going to be started soon. The Union Minister Smriti Irani said that the district that is famous for Tirupati Balaji temple is to have IISER, IIT, IIIT Institutions as soon as possible.

The human resource development minister, Naidu laid the foundation stones of the three educational institutions in the city.

In the meeting, Smriti Irani said, “Though Tirupati is known as a world pilgrimage center at the feet of Lord Venkateshwara, let’s give something unique to the students of entire nation (through these three national institutions). I am sure that IIT Tirupati will compliment the dream and vision of our PM Narendra Modi on 100 smart cities”.

The three institutions that were laid foundation are as follows

  • Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER)
  • Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)
  • Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT)

IIT Tirupati is to be established at Meralapaka village , Yerpedu mandal, Tirupati, Chittoor district. It is thought that the institute to be built in 590 acres  and IIT Madras will mentor the Tirupati campus.

Irani said that she is very much glad that IIT Chennai is to give complete support in the smart infrastructure for IIT Tirupati.

Union Minister, Venkaiah Naidu ensured his gratitude in his words by saying that IISER Tirupati wil be mentores by IISER Pune.

She added, “IISER Pune will ensure that earth system and climate change are taught at IISER Tirupati”.

The IIIT is to constructed at Sri city, Satyavedu mandal, Chittoor district where complete focus will be on research in the areas of the following.

  • ESDM (Electronic System Design & Manufacturing)
  • Automotive Electronics
  • Cloud Computing
  • Data Analytics
  • Technologies for smart cities
  • Supply chain and logistics
  • Clean Energy
  • Aerospace

It is said that they will be established soon and its services will be made available to all the students who want to pursue their graduation.
