Jammu and Kashmir government formation will be soon done by January, 19. Mufti met J&K governor to tell that they are to support the BJP party for the govt formation.
BJP met Governor, NN Vohra on Thursday to discuss the formation of government in Jammu and Kashmir. The governor had invited the BJP leaders for consulting them. They are in support of Mehbooba Mufti, a leader of the largest party in the state.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, the state unit chief told to TV channels, “We asked for more time. We have started the process of consultations. We have the mandate to be part of the government”.

Mehbooba Mufti told that People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is open to an alliance with the BJP when he was in a meeting with the Governor. She appealed former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee’s vision and told that it is the PM’s responsibility towards the state govt formation.
She said, “We have to bring back Vajpayee’s policies,” when questions are posed whether the PDP would join hands with BJP party.

People’s Democratic Party, PDP won 28 seats in the 87 member Jammu and Kashmir assembly, whereas the BJP won 25 seats and the National Conference stood third at 15. The Congress won 12 seats in that.
“Media reports say we have the support of 55 MLAs but we don’t want to form a government for the sake of it. A government should be one that is about welfare and peace, and for that we need Mr Vajpayee’s approach,” said Ms Mufti.
BJP’s Ram Madhav to her comments said in return, “As and when something concrete happens, we will take it forward.”
After this, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed who is the father of Mehbooba Mufti has consulted party leaders along with lawmakers to decide on the party’s association and growth.
“Sayeed continued consultations with the party’s rank and file,” Akhtar said.
I order to build the party’s responses, he said that the PDP members are meeting party leaders, newly-elected legislators, senior workers and civil society members.
It is said that the government will be starting its work by January 19 in the state along with the imposed Governor’s rule.
