New Delhi: Janata Parivar merger meet is set for today on Wednesday and decided to work under the leadership of Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav prior to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections considering Nitish as CM.
Ahead of the Bihar, Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections, the long-awaited merger of the six parties is to occur today in New Delhi. They are to work with the leadership of Mulayam Singh Yadav, the chief of Samajwadi Party (SP). They discussed and decided to join working together.
It is reported that the meeting was held for the importance of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh elections that to be held later this year and in 2017. BJP president, Amit Shah launched a campaign for polls in Bihar and the next day itself, this merger is to happen in the government.
Shah considered Janata Parivar as “zero plus zero remains a zero” and told that BJP is to rule the State. Now, the new entity will be named as Samajwadi Janata Party or Samajwadi Janata Dal. And the symbol will be cycle for this party. Today, the meeting where all the six parties are going to meet will be at Mulayam Sing Yadav’s residence.
The meeting is said to be in New Delhi for merging and six parties from the erstwhile Janata Parivar are set to merge on Wednesday. Members who are to attend the meeting are expected to be

- Janata Dal (United) chief Sharad Yadav
- General Secretary KC Tyagi
- Janata Dal (Secular) chief, former Prime Minister HD Devegowda
- Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad
- Samajwadi Janata Party chief Kamal Morarka
- Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader Dushyant Chautala
- Mualyam Singh Yadav’s brother Ramgopal Yadav
“We are meeting for the final announcement. Leaders of all these parties have already talked to each other and all issues have been resolved. We expect the announcement on Wednesday”, Tyagi told.
“Ek Jhanda, Ek Nishan” is the slogan given by RJD chief Lalu Prasad on 5th April and told that there is one symbol, one flag and merging means merging and no doubts in that.
