New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University, JNU is going to introduce three new Master’s courses in MA, they are Film, Television, Art History and Theatre.
Good News for those who are willing to do masters course next academic session is that Jawaharlal Nehru University is going to introduce new courses in MA; they are Film, Television, Art History and Theatre.
JNU’s Vice-Chancellor SK Sopory said that university will be introducing new programmes in MA i.e. Visual Studies, Art History, Film, New Media, and Television, Theatre and performance studies.
“In July proposal has come from Board of Studies of the School of Arts and Aesthetics regarding for introducing the new course and JNU also planning to offer Indian culture as well as Yoga also, and JNU also the proposal to offer Vedas, Jatakas and Yoga,” said JNU VC.
This short term courses introducing proposal has the backdrop to right wing organizations as well as RSS, and also useful to restore the India’s cultural identity by giving this kind of education in campuses.
However, finally this proposal has been rejected in the academic council meeting; the decision of this proposal has been taken by many highest persons recently in November. After a long discussion, this thing was failed.
