CBSE Reduces JEE Advanced Cut-Off Marks to 105 from 115

India: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced Joint Entrance Exam main results on 27th April, 2015 at 3:00 pm through official website www.jeemain.nic.in. In addition, officials said that JEE Advanced cut off marks are reduced to 105 from 115.

Every year CBSE conducts Joint Entrance Examination for huge number of interested candidates to offer admissions into undergraduate engineering programs at NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions. Candidates selection for admission will be based on the performance at JEE main and JEE advance examination.

Recently CBSE conducted the JEE main examination for successfully registered candidates and now announced the results through main site. JEE Main exam is also the eligibility test to attend the JEE Advanced examination. Candidates who got cut off marks as per CBSE norms will be eligible to attend the JEE Advanced examination.

As per CBSE, minimum cut off marks for general category candidates is 105 out of 360 this year. CBSE decreased the cut marks this year compared to last year which is 115. Minimum cut off for OBC candidates is 70 and SC & ST candidates is 50 and 44 respectively.

As per news, around 13 lakh students appeared for JEE main examination, in that top 1.5 lakh candidates got minimum cut off as per CBSE norms and those are only eligible to attend the JEE Advanced Examination to get an admission at IITs and NITs.
