As per official notification, the registration process was started on December 1 and ends on December 31, 2015. JEE is bifurcated into two parts i.e. Main and Advanced. JEE Main is arranged for admissions to IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), NITs (National Institutes of Technology), CFTIs (Central Funded Technical Institute) and IIEST Shibpur (dual degree programme).
JEE Advanced, on the other hand, is for admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and Indian School of Mines Dhanbad (to be converted into IIT). JEE Advanced is the second stage of examination for admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology, organized by seven zonal IITs under Joint Admission Board.
