Chennai: Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) Chennai Rhinos team has faced few issues from Nadigar Sangam and as per latest reports, Jiiva has stepped down as captain from the team.

Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) started from the year 2011. Actors from various industries are participating in this competition. Initially, this event was started for fun sake. But as days passed this was treated like Indian Premiere League (IPL). Lots of Politics and money involved in this league.

Tamil Cinema team was named as ‘Chennai Rhinos’ and Bharathi cement owned the team rights. So far the team has won the trophy twice and they came as runners once. Recently Kollywood faces more trouble due to the Nadigar Sangam issues.

Last season Vishal walked out of the team as Sarathkumar was the president. Now in this season, it was said that Jiiva would be retained as captain. He even attended Press interactions in the capacity of the new captain of the team after Vishal who has been the captain in the previous editions of the tournament has now become the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam.

But to everyone’s surprise, Jiiva has stepped down as Captain. Reports state that Arya would be the new captain of Chennai Rhinos. The sixth season of CCL is all set to begin from the day after tomorrow.
