Chennai: Owner of Kamala Cinemas revealed that Jayam Ravi’s Tamil movie Thani Oruvan collections are more than that of Telugu movie Baahubali by SS Rajamouli.

‘Baahubali’ which released 75 days back has opened to positive critics and the movie stormed at Box-Office. The Telugu film made phenomenal collections and has grossed more than 100 Crores in Tamil Nadu. Now a theatre owner has confirmed that ‘ThanimOruvan’ has crossed ‘Baahubali’.

‘Jayam’ Ravi starrer ‘Thani Oruvan’ also opened to positive critics and the movie ran houseful shows. Kamala cinemas owner who spoke at ‘Tharkaapu’ Audio launch said,

“Everyone kept on praising ‘Baahubali’. But I have to say that the entire collections made by ‘Baahubali’ was shattered by ‘Thani Oruvan’ in 15 days. Everyone praised King ‘Baahubali’. I would have said even Tamil cinema has Mohan ‘Raja’.”

The owner never revealed the exact collection figures. But he said the movie did some humongous collections. It is good to know a Tamil movie has finally raised the standards.
