At least 27 died within minutes after two trains Kamayani and Janata express while crossing each other a small bridge in Madhya Pradesh late on Tuesday. Two trains Kamayani express from Mumbai to Varanasi and the Mumbai-Jabalpur Express met with accident while crossing a small bridge near at Kudawa railway station, which is about 30 kilometres from Harda district in South western Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday night.
According to the sources, six coaches of Kamayani Express and three coaches and engine of Janata express were accidently leave the track on late last night. The bridge was damaged due to heavy rains in the area and tracks were flooded, when the two trains coming from opposite directions, the Up and Down tracks met with accident at the same time.
According to the information, Kamayani express was the first train to get derailed at around 11:30 PM, within few minutes other one Janata express met with same accident. 27 people out of which ten were women, five children and nine men killed in this mishap and more than 300 people have been rescued by the team.
The Government has announced the compensation of Rs. 2 lakhs to family of dead people and Rs.50,000 for injured candidates. The government is also announced the help line numbers to rescue the people.
