Karnataka State Open University or KSOU admission 2015 process to start from 20th September 2015 after getting approval from University Grants Commission (UGC).
The State Open University is all set to start its admissions by September 20. It was confirmed officially by the authorities. University Grants Commission finally gave nod to perform admission process from September 20th.
Previously, the KSOU Admissions 2015 was scheduled for July month. However, the GC recognition was delayed and finally, KSOU got credit to perform counselling process. After delaying recognition, the authorities are hopeful that the UGC will take up the issue in its board meeting likely to be held later this week and grant the much awaited acknowledgment.
Karnataka State Open University vice chancellor and registrar PS Naik along with other senior officials went to Delhi and met the top officials of UGC. The University Grants Commission arranged a meeting for vice chancellors and registrars of all the recognized universities in the state recently.
Closed sources of KSOU said, “We are positive that the UGC will give its signal for the courses offered by the university. However, indications are that UGC may not recognize the courses offered by the University.
The fresh notice from UGC will be applicable from the present academic session and also signs that, UGC is planning restrict KSOU to conduct the admissions only through its study centers and not enough through other private institutions”.
