Chennai: Kathakali movie starring Vishal, Catherine Tresa in lead roles and funded by Vishal Film Factory banner and Pasanga productions is expected to get delay in release.

Vishal is one of the leading actors in Kollywood who has a habit of releasing movies on time. The actor never makes a delayed release. Right from ‘Aambala’ he is spot on. Whenever he goes to shooting he fixes the release date too. Similarly for his upcoming movie ‘Kathakali’ he too fixed release date.

The actor is right now acting in the movie titled ‘Kathakali’. Catherine Tresa does the female lead role. This project is funded by Vishal Film Factory banner and Pasanga productions. Music is scored by Hip Hop Tamizha Aadhi. Bala Subramaniem is the cinematographer.

Lakshmi Menon was the first choice to do female lead. But later she was replaced by Catherine Tresa. Even in last schedule she danced ‘Kathak’ and surprised everyone. More than 3/4th of the shooting is completed and the movie was expected to get release as planned.

But now the team has made a change of plans and they will release the movie in month of January. As per reports, it is officially going to be a Pongal release along with Surya’s ’24’ and Sasikumar’s ‘Thaarai Thappatai’.
