Mumbai, Aug 8: The key Indian equity indices on Monday morning opened in the green following firm global cues.The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 122.77 points or 0.44 per cent higher during the morning session.

The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 25.35 points or 0.29 per cent higher at 8,708.50 points.

The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 28,181.92 points, was trading at 28,201.12 points (at 9.16 a.m.) in the early session, higher 122.77 points or 0.44 per cent from the previous day’s close at 28,078.35 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 28,215.18 points and a low of 28,176.91 points in the trade so far.
