Chandigarh: Haryana government Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar is to set 21 women police stations from 28th August as gift of Raksha Bandhan festival to the people of State.

From this year Raksha Bandhan festival Haryana state will have 21 all women police station across the state, the state government is likely to launch all these on 28th August 2015 as Rakhi gift. These woman police stations help to solve and control problems facing by the women Empowerment. Haryana is the second state after Tamil Nadu to have such police stations in the state.

All these 21 women police station will have women police staff and offers service day and night. Officers at women police station will have power to register FIRS and they can investigate the cases and can charge the sheets apart from other works. As per information all these women police station will have one lady Deputy Superintendent of police, along with two Sub Inspectors, three assistant Sub Inspectors, four head constables and 16 constables. The state government will also providing two Bolero Jeeps, one Tavera and three motorcycles for these women police.

Counselling centers are also attached to these police stations to resolve cases regarding family disputed, dowry cases through mediation. And it will also have the office of Women and Child Welfare Officer to solve such cases through mutual consent. Haryana government will also provide the phone number 1901 as women help line number.
