Mumbai, May 7: Chetan Bhagat’s Half Girlfriend movie adaption is to star Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan in lead roles under the direction of Moti Suri and Produced by Ekta Kapoor.

One more creation and latest hit of Chetan Bhagat’s novels ‘Half Girlfriend’ is transforming to big screen. A rumour has that ‘Dilwale’ duo Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan will play the lead roles. Earlier four creations of Chetan Bhagat’s novels also transferred into big screen, now his latest creation ‘Half Girlfriend’ is adapted bollywood, Ekta Kapoor will be producing the movie.

Kriti Sanon was present at grand launch of book, and then rumours spread that, she will play a lead role of Riya Somani big screen adaptation.  As per reports, either Varun or Ekta will talk about this at the moment, presently ekta has films in her hand and she wants to finish it first before going ahead with ‘Half Girlfriend’. Varun is also busy with his latest project ‘Dilwale’ which is scheduled to this December.

However the movie is still in scripting stage and expected to get started by June or July next year. The movie will be directed by Moti Suri who tasted the success with his recent hit movies Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain. Kriti and Varun are stars in the movie ‘Dilwale’ along with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol which is directed by Rohit Shetty.
