The IT Minister of Telangana, KTR proposed the AMD company officials to expand operations in Telangana state.

In a move to grow the Telangana State in all aspects, the IT and Industries minister of the state K Taraka Ramarao, in short KTR has offered helping hand for the AMD officials in the growth of the business by way of expansion. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is the leading semiconductor manufacturer of the United States. Presently, the company activities in Hyderabad were explained to the Minister’s delegation.

On Friday, the AMD’s chief technology officer Mark Papermaster and senior vice-president for HR & corporate communications, Ruth Cotter at the company’s headquarters in Sunnyvale in California met the Telangana Ministers delegation. In the discussions Ruth Cotter has expressed the company’s plans to expand operations in computer graphics, KTR invited them to partner with the proposed IMAGE City in Telangana State.

The AMD informed that a new processor chip, Zen, was designed totally at its Hyderabad centre which was instrumental in creating computer graphics for movies like Bahubali.
