The country’s second largest carmaker Hyundai Motors is all set to launch new edition 1Edition. The vehicle will be launched to celebrate the first anniversary of the compact SUV in the Indian market.

The SUV is also likely to boast minor changes inside the cabin such as new special edition seat cover, floor mat, and door sill. The anniversary edition of the Creta is expected to be offered in the SX or SX (O) variants of the SUV. The Hyundai Creta has received over 100,000 bookings in the Indian market, of which HMIL has fulfilled around 80,000 units. The company recently introduced a petrol automatic variant on the Creta given the demand for petrol cars since the ban on large diesel engined vehicles in Delhi-NCR.

The Hyundai Creta is available with 1.4- and 1.6-liter CRDi diesel engines and 1.6-liter VTVT petrol engine. All engine variants receive a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard while a 6-speed AT is optional on the petrol and 1.6-liter diesel. Both the engines are available with either six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The Creta special anniversary edition is expected to be priced at a premium of Rs. 30,000-Rs. 35,000 on the current model.
