Chennai: Tollywood star Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu movie is set to release in Tamil grandly to establish a huge fan base in Kollywood Tamil cinema too.

Mahesh Babu seems to establish a huge fan base in Tamil cinema too. Most of his movies are being remade in Tamil by Vijay. ‘Ghilli’, ‘Pokkiri’ were some of the examples. The actor has recently came to know that he can taste success directly without any remake.

He came to know that with the recent success of ‘Srimanthudu’. The movie was dubbed in Tamil as ‘Selvanthan’. The movie made huge profits for Mahesh Babu and now he wants to capitalize on the same success. As ‘Srimanthudu’ was a huge success, his old movies are getting direct release in Tamil.

Tamannaah has paired opposite Mahesh Babu and she has done the female lead. Shruti haasan has done an item number. The supporting cast features actors like Rajendra Prasad, Rao Ramesh, Brahmanandam and M. S. Narayana. S.S.Thaman is the composer.

The Original Telugu version got a release on September 18, 2014. Now the movie is coming to Tamil under the title, ‘Ithu Thaandaa Police’. The dubbing works are going on right now. The team is looking for a leading distributor to bag the rights.
