Tollywood Mahesh Babu last movie Brahmotsavam has completed its 100 days run in Chilakaluri Pet of Guntur district.
Brahmotsavam was sold to distributors for high prices as the demand was such. Since this is an immediate film from Mahesh Babu after the record-breaking blockbuster “Srimanthudu” last year, many distributors in several areas bought it for record prices. PVP got good table profit with this movie.
But the movie ended up as a complete damp squib. So all the distributors have formed a club and sent a
rough estimation of Rs 35 Cr loss. The heavy losers are distributors of Ceded, Overseas and Nizam territories.
As per source, Brahmotsavam movie was released on May 20 and stood as the biggest flop of top heroes in recent years. The movie collected a share of Rs.34.14 crores share in its full run. Shockingly,
the movie’s 100 days run has been confirmed in Chilakaluri Pet of Guntur district. Long back, when long run centers were given much importance, some of the flop movies also would run for 100 days. As such, ‘Brahmotsavam’s long run in Chilakaluri Peta is being criticized by everyone.
Mahesh’s new movie will go on sets in the month of August. Murugadoss will helm this project.
The movie has Rakul Preet Singh in female lead role. Harris jairaj scores the music of the movie.
More details on the film are still awaited.
