Maruti Suzuki India has recalled nearly 75,419 Baleno and 1,961 DZire cars to replace the faulty components for free of cost.

Maruti for the second time has gone for the components replacement programme. Nearly 77,000 vehicles were called back for the faulty components replacement. The company is doing this voluntarily. about 75,419 Maruti Baleno vehicles and 1,961 Maruti DZire with AGS Transmission engine vehicle is being recalled to replace the faulty Airbags and the fuel filters.

Both petrol and diesel engine vehicles manufactured in between August 3rd, 2015 and March 22nd, 2016 will be recalled from May 31st, 2016. The cars will be inspected first and if faults found then they will be replaced free of cost. The software update will also be done free of cost at the same time.

The company has also recalled the exported vehicles too. The dealers will volunteer to call the sold vehicles back. Out of the total recalled vehicles, 17,231 vehicles are the exported Balenos.

Last week nearly 20,427 Maruti S-Cross vehicles were called for free servicing and faulty components replacement. The faulty brake components were replaced.

Even though the Indian Automobile industry does not have a recall policy as per law, the SIAM started the policy in the year 2012, July month.
