Maruti Suzuki India has decreased the price of its popular smart hybrid vehicles Ciaz SHVS and the Ertiga SHVS in Delhi due to decrease in Excise duty.

The government has reduced in the excise duty, which has come down 24 per cent to 12.5 per cent. As per the revised prices the base variant of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz SHVS is now 7.68 lakh going up to 9.49 lakh. On the other hand, the base variant of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga SHVS is now priced at 7.08 lakh going up to 8.66 lakh (All Prices Ex-Showroom, Delhi).

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz SHVS has now up to Rs 2.19 lakh cheaper than its rival Honda City Diesel. While the base variant of both the cars see a difference of Rs 1.62 lakh the top-of-the-line models sees a difference of a whopping Rs 2.19 lakh, the effects of we will definitely is the sales their respective sales figures for coming months.

Both the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz SHVS and Ertiga SHVS are powered by the company’s tried and tested 1.3-litre MultiJet Diesel engine paired with to the company’s SHVS micro-hybrid technology.
