Management Aptitude Test (MAT 2016) paper based test is scheduled to be held on February 07, 2016 and computer based test will be held from February 13, 2016 onwards. Candidates who are going to take this exam can make preparations by taking MAT 2016 Preparations Tips.

MAT is a standardized test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programs.

Paper Pattern

  • The MAT February 2016 exam contains five sections. Each section carries 40 questions namely; Language Comprehension (30 mins), Mathematical Skills (40 mins), Data Analysis & Sufficiency (35 mins), Intelligence & Critical Reasoning (30 mins) and Indian & Global Environment (15 mins).
  • The test contains negative marking. For each right answer one mark will be provided and for each wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.
  • The test duration is 150 minutes.
  • Aspirants can choose any one of the two options to take the test: Paper Based Test or Computer Based Test.

MAT 2016 Preparation Tips:

  • Candidates should now waste time pondering over those difficult questions.
  • A wise practice is to answer the questions which you are sure of.
  • Although the MAT stresses on accuracy more than speed, it is important to use the allotted time wisely. Make every effort to pace yourself by making yourself familiar with the mechanics of the test.
  • The directions explain exactly what each set of questions requires to answer those questions. Read all test directions carefully.
  • Read each question carefully and thoroughly.
  • Before answering a question, determine exactly what is being asked.
  • Practice MAT mock tests and solve them in the designated time following the main exam pattern so that you can easily attempt MAT without getting into a struggle.
  • Solve sample papers/previous year’s papers as much as possible
