Hyderabad, June 3: TRS with Indian Cellular Association mutually decided to make a mobile manufacturing hub in Hyderabad. Celkon, Karbon, Foxconn and others agreed to be a part of it.

The State government and Indian Cellular Association (ICA) have agreed to establish a first-of-its-kind mobile manufacturing hub in Hyderabad. The officials of mobiles manufacturing companies visited some of the places like Mamidipalli, Raviral and Maheshwaram in Ranga Reddy district yesterday, Tuesday to check whether the land is suitable for building a hub. Finally they are satisfied and agreed to set up their mobile phone manufacturing units in Hyderabad.

TS CM, K Chandrasekhar Rao met with Indian Cellular Assocation (ICA) national chairman Pankaj Mahindra, Karbon mobiles chairman Sudhir Hasija, Celkon MD Y Guru, executive director Murali Retineni, Water World International representative Tony  for a discussion on the construction of manufacturing units in a best way.

With the project, Telanagana people can expect 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh jobs that can be offered from the mobile hub for and after construction. There is a 15.7% growth in IT sector counting to Rs. 66,276 crore from Hyderabad in 2014-15. And 48,000 new jobs are created this year.

The mobile manufacturing hub that will be established is also intending for a huge number of jobs in the coming years for people of Telangana.
