Hyderabad: Muslim Kuchipudi dancer has attracted the audience with her performance at the Hindu Chaitanya Sabha organised by Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi.
Nadiya, 25–year old Muslim kuchipudi dancer has attracted everyone at the Hindu Chaitanya Sabha organised by Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi and she was the star attraction of show when she performed on Hindu epics like Mahishasura Mardhini and Nataraja Shiromani.
It is very rare to see Muslim artists learning Kuchipudi but the religion has never been a problem to pursue passion, she has proved it with her performance audience get surprised when they learnt about their religion.
Nadiya started learning Kuchipudi since she was four, she continued her practise with her parents encouragement. Her family has faced ban from the community but her father Khader Kahn supported her passion for Indian dance. Interestingly she also married to Hindu.
She gave many stage performances across the globe, her performance also brought her honours including Ugadi Puraskaram from Andhra Pradesh government, Natya Shiromani and Natya Mayuri titles. She recently performed at an event in New Delhi where Modi was the chief guest and got the appreciation from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi , his is the special and the best moment for her.
