NASA builds X-57 Maxwell – New Electric X-Plane

With the efforts to manufacture more environmental friendly planes, NASA is developing the new electrical planes which are more quieter and fuel efficient.

When compared to the conventional planes, NASA is developing the new electrical planes named as Maxwell X-57 which run with electric power. The 14 electric motors turning propellers which are integrated to a Uniquely designed wing will be flying in the air which will reduce the harm to the environment.

NASA administrator Charles Bolden told the reporters that the 10 years research capabilities of NASA has resulted in the opening of the new era of planes. these planes will be displayed in the event of Aviation 2016 held at Washington tomorrow.

The name of the plane is kept in the honour of the James Clerk Maxwell, who is known for his electromagnetism theories. He belonged to the 19th century. The Scottish physicist did a great work in the electromagnetism field of work.

The plane is the resultant of Italian-designed “Tecnam P2006T” and Scalable Convergent Electric Propulsion Operations Research work. This does not use any fuel and hence, no pollution is expected from this plane. Maxwell will be using only electric batteries. It produces 175 mph.

This new innovation from NASA will definitely bring a drastic change in the Aviation industry very soon. The future which has a question of fuel and pollution problems can be easily handled with the innovation.
