Today, Veteran NC (National Conference) leader, Sheikh Nazir and the uncle of earlier chief minister of the Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah passed away in Jammu.
Veteran National Conference leader, Sheikh Nazir Ahmed, 84 expired today at early morning as the source said that he was under hospitalization in Jammu. He was close aid to the party’s leader, Late Sheikh Abdullah and uncle to the ex-chief minister of the winter capital, J&K, Omar Abdullah.
Reportedly, Nazir was in a critical condition as he was admitted in the Jammu’s government medical college on Sunday. At that time, he was suffering with a disorder of ‘multi-organ failure’ and was under the medical observation in Intensive Care Unit over there.
When comes to his career, Sheikh Nazir was a lawyer by his profession and had worked as their party’s General Secretary until his death. He has been terminated as very important one in taking the major decisions of the party.
The sources of their party said that Nazir was expired at 5:17 am on this early Tuesday. They said, “Sheikh Nazir Sahib will be buried at his ancestral graveyard in Soura, Srinagar later today.” Omar Abdullah inveterated Nazir’s demise. “As per his wishes he will be buried in his ancestral graveyard in Srinagar later today,” Omar said in his words on his Twitter handle. He added, “Further details will be released by the party.”
The party continued their last calls to their leader by saying, “Sheikh Nazir had been hospitalised yesterday after his condition deteriorated. The body of the departed leader was brought to the party headquarters at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan for the cadre to pay their last respects before being taken to Srinagar.”
The Veteran NC party leaders along with Omar Abdullah and the General Secretary Ali Mohammed Sagar rewarded their floral honours and respect to Sheikh Nazir. The loss of Sheikh Nazir is being extensively bewailed by the public of J&K.
