On Thursday, DMK, opposition parties of Tamil Nadu, uttered their unhappiness about the Railway Budget and knocked it for the deficient of matter.

According to the announcement of the railway budget, the political parties all over the Tamil Nadu raised their exceptions, yesterday. They said that they are very disappointed in this issue. Even the DMK president, M Karunanidhi claimed, “not only about new projects not announced, several proposals have been given up mid-way, and in no way could this budget be welcomed.”

He even made a scream out and continues about the issue that there was anticipation that the traveller and goods price would be lowered. He said in his words as “It is notable that for the first time in the history of Indian Railway budgets, no new or additional trains have been announced.”

The leader of PMK, S. Ramadoss gave his opinion very ungrateful way towards the non-allocation of sufficient financial way for railway projects in Tamil Nadu and the collapse to lessen the traveller and goods prices even though the diesel prices had come down by Rs 12 to 13 per litre.

Dr. Ramadoss said, “Passenger and freight charges were increased up to 14 per cent citing hike in the price of diesel. Now the Railway Ministry is not bothered to reduce the charges despite fall in the price of diesel.”

He stated that yet Tamil Nadu needed about Rs 9K crore for performance of active projects, the Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu had unsuccessful to assign the sufficients funds. Dr. Ramadoss continued, “It shows the indifference of the Centre towards the requirement of Tamil Nadu. The Railway Minister should release more funds at least in his reply.”

The general secretary of MDMK, Vaiko introduced a derisive assault on the Centre and stated the Railway budget as in term of ‘mirage’. He stated that allowing the FDI to develop the railway facilities and the opportunities that are piercing to the way of privatisation.

In this interim, E.V.K.S. Elangovan, the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president said that the BJP-led Centre had mistreated the Tamil Nadu in the Railway budget as the AIADMK, yet with 37 MPs in the Lok Sabha and stood for nothing to struggle for the State’s rights as that they are not at all concerned about it.
