Pakistan accepts leads from India : Pathankot terror attack

New Delhi: Pakistan on Monday admitted to have accepted leads provided by the Indian government on the recent Pathankot terror attack. Pakistan has accepted the leads on Jaish-e-Mohammad which India suspects to have participated and planned attack.

In-line with India and Pakistan commitment to eradicate cross border terrorism, Pakistan has accepted the leads and will work on it now and investigate the whole attack. “In line with Pakistan’s commitment to effectively counter and eradicate terrorism, the government is in touch with the Indian side and is working on the leads provided by government” the spokesperson said.

India has intercepted over a dozen calls to Pakistan by the attackers. They have communicated through stolen phones to their Pakistani handlers and have received instructions. All the calls and numbers have been intercepted, while a few calls contained lengthy conversations. Few calls were brief and crisp. The National Security Adviser has shared the leads with his Pakistani counterpart. However the details of the leads were not made public.

Living in the same region and sharing history and land, both our countries should share cordial relations and have cooperative discussions added the statement from the Pakistani side.
