Lahore: A fifteen years old Sikh girl Manbir Kaur from Shri Guru Nanak Devji High School secured top rank in class 10 examination in Pakistan.

A Sikh girl Manbir Kaur, daughter of the Granthi of Gurdwara Sri Nankana Sahib is a student of Shri Guru Nanak Devji High School at Nankana Sahib. She obtained 1035 marks out 1100 in Secondary School Examination (SSE).

As per sources, Board of Intermediate Secondary Education (BISE), Lahore has announced the Secondary School Examination (SCE) results last week. The top two positions were secured with Shafaq Zahid (1080/1100) and Aleena Mohsin (1079/1100). Manbir Kaur has secured 1035 marks and she is the first girl, who has got such top marks in matriculation examination this year.

Manbir used to study for 12 hours a day, Sikh community in the district is proud for her achievement. She has been received messages and greetings from people of all communities in Pakistan. She enrolled to pre-medical examination to become a doctor. Manbir is welcomed to take admission any private of Government College in the region. Manbir is mulling to join in a private college in Lahore, she was offered with scholarship for both the government and private institutions by the Punjab government.
