Pathemari Movie Review
Pathemari movie is a family-drama from the national award winning director Salim Ahmed. Movie stars Mammootty, Srinivasan and Joy Mathew in the lead role. Movie showcase the three various life stages of an NRI named Pallickal Narayanan (Mammootty), movie is set in the backdrop of 1960 to present.
As in the tagline Pathemari will showcase the survival journey of gulf Malayalee’s. It is for the second time Salim Ahmed and Mammootty joining together, Salim’s earlier project with Mammootty (Kunjanathante Kada) was highly appreciated by critics as well as audience and also won many international awards. Overall all the characters played well and story narration and direction is very impressive.
Pathemari stars actress Jewel Mary opposite Mammootty. This is the second time that Mammotty has joined Salim Ahmed after the movie, Kunjanathante Kada. The movie also has National Award winning Resul Pookkutty handling the sound design, and another National Award winner Bijibal scoring the music. Overall movie is nice with lot of emotions and social message.

Storyline in Brief
Pathemari is a social drama, which revolves around Pallickal Narayanan, an NRI, played by Mammootty. Set against the backdrop of the Gulf migration of Keralites, it tells the story of Pallikal Narayanan and his friend Moydeen. It narrates their sacrifices that symbolize the lives of several Kerala migrants in the Gulf.
