PESSAT 2016 Exam Pattern ( Scholastic Aptitude Test )

PES University (PES), Bangalore has announced PES Scholastic Aptitude Test PESSAT 2016 Exam Pattern and exam dates.  The PESSAT for B.Tech program will be held in the month of May, 2016 and for all other programs, PESSAT will be conducted from Wednesday, January 06, 2016 till July, 2016. Below we have given the PESSAT written Exam Pattern.

PESSAT 2016 Exam Pattern Details Section Wise:

English Comprehensive / Verbal Ability:

English Language Comprehension involves a variety of questions based on skills, processes of understanding and dispositions that are used to get meaning from spoken, written, and signed language. Here in this candidates need to get understanding what other people say and write.

This section covers the topics like Spotting Errors, Selecting Words and Spellings, Sentence Formation, Synonyms, Antonyms, Ordering of Words, Sentence Correction improvement, Completing Statements, Ordering of Sentences and Paragraph Formation.

Analytical & Logical Reasoning:

This section involves in solving problems. In PESSAT exam these sections consist of 40 questions which are based on the following topics.

Seating Arrangement, Cubes, Number series, Letter Series, Clocks, Logical sequence and Matching, Blood Relations, Venn diagram.

Quantitative Reasoning:

In this exam, Quantitative reasoning consists of 40 questions. With no negative marking, you will have to attempt all questions which are time taking process. Compare to other sections this is a small bit hard as it consumes more time. In this section, various topics involved are:

This section involves areas like Geometry, Trigonometry, Arithmetic, Algebra,  Mensuration, Number Systems, Modern Math, etc.

General Awareness:

In this section, question are asked from National, International news, Economy, Corporate News and Sports and General Knowledge. In this, the question also asked from general knowledge along with current affairs.
