Hyderabad, July 17: Police arrested a retired MRO officer and five others for allegedly making fake land documents and occupying government and private parcels of land.
Task Force investigators has arrested a retired deputy mandal revenue officer (MRO) along with five associates who allegedly stolen the data regarding government lands which are located in various places in the city and for creating fake documents for those lands.
As per officials, 72-year-old M Ram Mohan Rao alias Mohan Das who is working as a real-estate broker, 70-year-old V Ramanuja who is a retired MRO of Golconda office, Mohammed Aijaz Ahmed, Mohammed Kareemuddin, N Ashok and Hymavathamma are formed as group and over the 15 year they creating fake documents to government and private lands.
70 year-old Ramauja used to assist M Ram Mohan Rao with his experience for preparing fake documents for various lands. Aijaz Ahmed who is translator from Chetta Bazar used to secure non-judicial stamps of 1930s from various sellers. With all of those supports Mohan Rao is preparing documents as of Nizam period by using an old typewriter and link.
Police arrested group on Thursday and seized 16 fake land documents, 232 fake rubber stamps, 158 old non judicial stamp papers, revenue stamps, nib pens, one type writing machine, passbooks and laminated files from the group.
