Mumbai: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra spoke to media regarding her role Kashi Bhai in upcoming Hindi movie, Bajirao Mastani that is directed and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
‘Bajirao Mastani’ is all set to hit screens on 18th of this month. The movie is directed and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are the two female lead roles. Ranveer Singh is doing the male protagonist.
Regarding the movie, Priyanka Chopra says, “I just did this movie for Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Most of us ask me, Mastani is done by Deepika and Bajirao is done by Ranveer and so what am I doing?
First of all let me reveal you a secret. I was the first person to get inside the team. Sanjay came to me with script on his hands. He was clear to rope me in. Kashi Bhai character is so heart breaking and this is kind of a feminine character. It is very challenging for me to do the role.
It’s a special film for me. I am just excited to know the results. Most of you will not understand how hard this role is. I have to get the Maharashtrian accent right and there were many dramatic scenes. I need to do lots of ground work and the character was heart-wrenching.”
