Chennai: Vijay, Shruti Haasan and Hansika starring upcoming Kollywood film Puli censor board report clears that it got U certificate with few cuts at Board yesterday.

Vijay’s upcoming ‘Puli’ has visited censors yesterday and the CBFC has given movie ‘U’ after substantial cuts and few mutes. Sources said that censor portion went for about 6 hours. Soon after the censor process was done, makers said that it got appreciation from censor board members.

Regarding ‘U’ certificate, Producer PT Selvakumar said, “We are happy as we get 30% entertainment tax exemption. We have made this in a whopping budget of 100 Crores and now with this 30% tax exemption we can recover the amount invested.”

Regarding scenes chopped, we heard from bankable sources that, Sridevi’s portion was chopped off in huge way and her evil side will be shown less. As we expected this has made the actress unhappy and made her to demand a sum of Rs.1 Crore for dubbing.

The movie apart from lead actors has a strong supporting cast which includes Prabhu, Nandita Sweta, Vijayakumar, Thambi Ramaiah, Aadukalam Naren, Imman Annachi and Sathyan as a part of cast. Devi Sri Prasad has composed music and Natraj Subramanian has handled cinematography.
