Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is going to conduct Teacher Eligibility Test. Punjab Teacher Eligibility Test also known as PS TET is an entrance examination to get the eligibility as teachers in the state. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. As per TET exam pattern, there are two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. Here we have provided the examination pattern, syllabus of PSTET 2016 for both the papers. Punjab TET Syllabus 2016 For Paper 1 and 2:

Paper – I Syllabus & Pattern

Duration of exam is: 90 Minutes.

  1. Child Development and Pedagogy – 30 Questions
  1. Language I: Punjabi (compulsory) – 30 Questions
  1. Language II: English (compulsory) – 30 Questions: For Comprehension – 15 Questions and For Pedagogy of Language Development – 15 Questions.
  1. Mathematics – 30 Questions: For Content 25 Questions and For Pedagogical issues: 5 Questions
  1. Environmental Studies – 30 Questions: Content 25 Questions and For Pedagogical issues: 5 Questions

Paper – II Syllabus & Pattern

Duration of exam is: 90 Minutes

  1. Child Development and Pedagogy – 30 Questions

2. Language I: Pinjabi (compulsory) – 30 Questions

3. Language II: English (compulsory) – 30 Questions

4. Mathematics and Science – 60 Questions: Mathematics: 30 Questions and for Science: 30 Questions

Social Studies/ Social Sciences – 60 Questions

  1. Content: 50 Questions
  1. Pedagogical issues: 10 Questions
