Rahul Gandhi in Telangana | 15 KM Padyatra to Focus Farmer Problems

Telangana, May 14: Rahul Gandhi in Telangana Adilabad district tomorrow. Plans for a 15 km padyatra to interact with farmers and Osmania University student leaders to know about their problems and woes.

Rahul Gandhi on behalf of Indian National Congress visits farmers for highlighting their woes to the Narendra Modi government. Earlier he visited Maharashtra and Punjab, now decided to meet Telangana farmers. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka revealed the details about Rahul visit to Telangana, i.e. “Rahul visit is about to know the woes of the farmers of country who suffered due the loss of agrarian distress and committed suicide and to highlight it in the country in general and that of the state in particular”.

He will reach Hyderabad by tomorrow and stay for night at Nirmal town in Adilabad district. It is said that he will interact with student leaders of Osmania University who have been facing problems with employment matters and later continue the ‘padayatra’ from Vadiyala village at 7 am.

Rahul will speak with the farmers of Koratikal Village at 4 PM and return to Hyderabad, then around at 8 pm he will return to Delhi. He is continuously raising the issues of farmers in Parliament, and recently visited Punjab and the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. As per officials around 936 farmers have committed suicide in the state due to the loss.
