Hyderabad: Indian School of Business, Hyderabad has announced the name Rajendra Srivastava as its new dean effective from January 1, 2016.

The Indian School of Business (IBS) has announced Rajendra Srivastava, an IIT Kanpur alumnus as its new dean, currently Ajit Rangekar has been working for the role from January 2009. Srivastava will appointed as dean from January 2016.

Adi Godrej, chairman of Godrej Group and also the chairman of the ISB board of directors has declared the announcement on Friday. Srivastava is currently working as provost and deputy president and professor of marketing at Singapore Management University (SMU).

The Indian School of Business (ISB), is the third Indian B-School and recently recruited Srivastava from an institute aboard. He has MBA and PHD from the University of Pittsburgh and MS degree in industrial engineering from Rhode Island University and B.Tech from IIT Kanpur in Mechanical Engineering.

He has 30 years of experience as an academic and administrator, earlier he has also held chairs and senior management positions at the University of Texas at Austin and Emory University in Atlanta.

As per sources the new dean goal was to work with corporate and academic partners who helped to ISB to make it as a premier institute globally. His appointment marks a major step towards ISB’s mission of consolidating and strengthening its position as a world –class business schools.
