Mangaluru, June 19: Bollywood Veteran actor Rajesh Khanna’s bungalow Aashirwad will be demolished by new owner of bungalow to construct multi-storey building.
Mangaluru based business man Shashi Kiran Shetty, bought Bollywood veteran star Rajesh Khanna’s bungalow Aashirwad in August 2014 after his death. Now, this new owner of bungalow is planning to build a three or four-storey building by destroying the actual one.
Shetty is planning to keep the name as Ashirward but the structure will be new at all. He said that “We are planning to redevelop property which is more than 50 year old and the process of new structure will start within a couple of months”.
Shashi Kiran Shetty who is an executive chairperson of Allcargo Logistics reportedly bought 6,500 square foot property for Rs 95 crore.
Rajesh Khanna bought this bungalow from fellow actor Rajendra Kumar, earlier the bungalow name was Dimple later it renamed to Aashirwad. The house is apparently proven unlucky for Rajendra kumar, but it is lucky for Khanna, after buying this he delivered 15 hits in a row and are still unbroken.
As per Rajesh Khanna’s will, the bungalow is belongs to his daughters Twinkle and Rinky not to his wife estranged wife Dimple. Super star wanted to convert his bungalow to museum, it was sold against to his wish. Anita Advani, a live in partner of Rajesh Khanna was also made a claim over the property but it was failed.
