Haryana: Baba Ramdev who is well known to society as Yoga guru rejected the Haryana government’s Cabinet offer. Manohar Lal Khattar’s Haryana government has decided to congratulate the brand ambassador for promotion of yoga and Ayurveda in the state. But he rejected it and said just want to remain a baba.

On 13th April, 2015 the state government decided to give status of cabinet minister to Ramdev. He simply turned it down and said that “I am a baba and want to remain a Baba. Don’t want to enjoy VIP perks”. He also added “I’m a sanyaasi, service to humanity is my only objective, and I’m not looking for any Ministerial position or status.”

Haryana Government organized a meeting at Rai which is 60 km far from Delhi, to honour him.  Ramdev made an announcement that he is not looking for any positions and wants to remain a ‘baba’. He thanked Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and state government for giving such a respective position.

Besides this, Haryana State government has been planning for setting up a world-class Herbal Forest with around 25,000 saplings of different varieties across the world. And state government is also planning to set up a “Vyayam and Yogshalas” in order to bring international reorganization for Yoga in Haryana.
