Rana Daggubati in Finding Mysterious Sinking of PNS Ghazi Submarine

Hyderabad: Rana Daggubati is to play a role of Naval Officer in Sankalp Reddy’s upcoming movie based on finding mysterious sinking of PNS Ghazi Submarine during Indo-Pak war in 1971.

Currently, Tollywood star Rana Daggubati is enjoying for success from Baahubali movie. With this impact, he got a chance to play a role of Naval Officer for a Telugu movie based on PNS Ghazi Submarine sinking during 1971 India-Pakistan war. This project is not yet titled but it is reported that Blue Fish book writer Sankalp Reddy is going to direct this war based film.

This 31 year old director is going to direct this picture and Rana Daggubati will play a role of Naval Officer in lead. Complete story is based on finding mysterious things and exploring the sinking of PNS Ghazi. This is a submarine that is deployed during 1971 India-Pakistan war.

It is also slated that this is going to be India’s first submarine warfare movie and veteran actor Prakash Raj is also playing a main role. PVP Cinema nodded head to produce this movie in which a Naval Officer and his team who remained underwater for 18 days. They belong to Indian submarine S21 and struggles a lot for more than fifteen days.

It is reported that Rajeev Khandelwal was chosen for this lead role but as Rana came on to screen with Baahubali, the film makers felt that he is the perfect man. Complete prototype has already been setup in Hyderabad and pre-production is started. Shooting will go on floor soon.
