Chennai: Kaan movie was put on hold! What might be the reason behind it? Is it a financial matter or any dispute among makers of the movie?

Anything and everything where STR steps up seems to face down hill. He suffered a lot to release ‘Vaalu’ and it was said he will have quick releases in future. But still it seems STR has never learned a lesson.

STR was acting under Gautam Menon and Selvaraghavan direction on a parallel note. Both movies were of contrasting genres and as both of them were reputed directors. Everyone hoped that he will be back on track. But all of a sudden it was formally announced that the project was shelved.

Selvaraghavan who was already upset with failure of ‘Irandam Ulagam’ came up to direct Kaan movie. Simbhu and Catherine Tresa were roped in to do lead roles. Gitanjali Selvaraghavan and Siddharth Rao funded the project together on behalf of Glo Studios.

Expectations peaked as the movie already marked reunion of Yuvan and Selvaraghavan. Taapsee was also doing a crucial role. But as the movie was shelved there were lots of speculations. Thought financial constraints were said as the reason, we hear from inside sources that Selvaraghavan is not happy with STR as he has been irregular to shoot. He was shuffling to and fro between various things at same time.
