Royal Enfield launched a new bike named Himalayan in New Delhi at Rs 1.73 lakh. The Himalayan as eligible is now on sale in Delhi. Previously, it was not sold in Delhi region due to a restriction from the transport department.

Royal Enfield New Bike Himalayan

The company, which is the two-wheeler arm of Eicher Motors, has introduced the model in Delhi after the state transport department agreed to register new models of two-wheelers compliant with Bharat Stage (BS)-III emission norms launched in the capital prior to April 1.

The Himalayan is powered a 411cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine which delivers 24bhp and 32Nm of torque. Apart from Delhi, the Himalayan has also been launched in Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune.

Presenting new bike Mr Rudratej Singh, president, Royal Enfield said, “We are delighted to announce the availability of our latest motorcycle – Himalayan, in New Delhi. We are very confident that with its simple design and versatile performance, the Himalayan will inspire confidence amongst the amateur motorcyclists. At the same time, seasoned riders will appreciate the motorcycle’s purpose-built features and attributes in terrains that have inspired the Himalayan.”
