Lucknow, Aug 13: The Uttar Pradesh government has made a provision of Rs 200 crore for the second and third phase of construction works pertaining to Agra’s Ring Road, an official said on Saturday.

The inner ring roads would be constructed from Agra-Fatehabad to Agra-Gwalior Road.

All the necessary formalities were being completed for expeditious implementation of the project, the official told IANS.

The estimated cost of the first phase of the construction works added up to Rs 819.25 crore, the official said.

Under this, the official said, a 10.9 km stretch of road was being built from Kanpur to Fatehabad Road. The construction of the Ring Road was being done on Engineering Procurement Construction model.

The first phase of construction is being carried out by Agra Development Authority. Railway over the bridge was being built by the Housing and Urban Planning department and Public Welfare Division is constructing the Yamuna bridge, the official said.

The foundation of the Agra Inner Ring Road was laid by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in March 2014.
