Russia, 7 May: Russian spacecraft named Progress Spaceship carrying 3 tons supplies to the ISS may crash on Earth this Friday. Complete report from Russian space agency says it mayn’t burn completely in atmospheric layers.
Roscosmos, the Russian space agency said in its report that the Progress Spaceship is completely out of control and may hit/crash on Earth any time this Friday. As a matter of relax, they also said that a major portion of the spacecraft will burn completely in atmospheric layers. Remaining fragments will crash but most probably in ocean areas, not in land.
By carrying around 3 tons supplies to International Space Station (ISS), the Russian Progress Spacecraft was launched on 28th April from Kazakhstan. Unfortunately, it enters into a wrong orbit and went into an out of control spin.
In its report Roscosmos said that, “The space ship will completely burn up in the layers of the atmosphere and only a few small parts of elements of its construction could reach the surface of our planet.”
However, out of fear or based on their own opinion, some have reportedly claimed that people are in danger and are at risk of being struck by the Progressive Spaceship fragments. In his answer to this, CBS News space consultant, William Harwood decline it and chances are almost zero for such a mishap.
This is where Progress Spaceship Went Wrong

- After spacecraft separation, first series of problems regarding wireless transmission occurs.
- It enters into a wrong orbit and went into an uncontrollable spin.
- Later, NASA’s mission controller reported that, a video camera on spaceship is showing it spinning with an uncommon rate.
