‘Saala Khadoos’ is just brilliant – Madhavan

Chennai: Madhavan spoke few word about his upcoming film Saala Khadoos and he said that the movie is just brilliant and the script is very nice.

‘Saala Khadoos’ is an upcoming sports drama genre in Bollywood. The movie is based on ‘Boxing’ and Madhavan will be seen in a new avatar in this project. Sudha Kongara Prasad has directed the project and the movie are all set to release this month end. Madhavan who never spoke much has finally opened about the movie.

He also revealed how he got on board. He said, “I knew Sudha for a long time. She was an assistant to Maniratnam and we worked together lots of times. I knew her even when she was an assistant director and I was the ‘Star’.

When Sudha said she has a script, I thought it would be a movie based on relationships as women usually prefer such scripts. I also thought it would be a feminist movie about women’s liberation. So when she said Boxing, I felt completely strange and said you will make a movie on boxing?

But I was impressed with all the ground work she has done. She had interviewed boxers from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and presented to me all the information about why people take up boxing, what type of parents want to send their girls for boxing and why. I was convinced that I can never get a better brilliant script.”
